What if I told you there was a way to cover everyone up to 100k a year with Medicare and not have to soak the rich to the point of destroying the economy? Interested? AND we can eliminate income taxes to boot. If we change the tax code to; every time money moves from one bank account to another the bank would charge a 1% tax, while you might be thinking that that wouldn't be enough to run the government but you would be wrong. Remember you are not just taking 1% of the GDP but 1% for every time money is moved, with all the daily movement of money this actually adds up to we would be taking in more than 4 times as much as we are now and the felt amount on the pocket book would be negligible and all models say that the economy would dramatically improve. We could double our budget AND pay off the deficit in short order without socialism or giving up our freedom.
